Board of Directors


Noberto Nogueira Pinheiro
He started his career in 1975 serving as the controlling shareholder, Executive Vice-President and permanent member of the Executive Committee and Superior Committee of Credit of Banco BMC. From 1975 to 1996, he was leading several departments, such as the Sales, Products and Marketing departments, and he also led the project of turning a regional bank into a national bank. Mr. Pinheiro also was the founding shareholder of PineBank in Miami , Florida , participating in strategic and credit decisions, which resulted in the development and consolidation of that bank in the highly competitive U.S. market. In 1997, he founded Banco Pine.

Noberto Nogueira Pinheiro Junior
Elected Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on April 28, 2008, previously he served as the COO, CFO and IRO of PINE. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Joining PINE in 2005, previously he worked in the financial markets in the areas of M&A, credit, investment banking and fund management.

Maurizio Mauro
He incorporated Managing Partner, TTLM Gestão e Participações, a leading company in asset management. He served for over 12 years as an advisor of Booz Allen Hamilton, and in 2001, he was CEO of Grupo Abril, and was responsible for the recovery of the operational and financial departments of that company. In 2004, he served as a member of Consejo Assessor de Postgrado de la Universidad San Andrés in Buenos Aires . In addition, in 2005, he served as coordinator of Comissão Externa de Avaliação da Faculdade IBMEC and as a member of the Advisory Board of Banco IBI. Mr. Mauro also has extensive experience in management departments, having served as member of the board of directors of Tecnisa S.A. , Atmosfera S.A. and Drufy-Brasif S.A. 

Mailson Ferreira da Nóbrega
He was the Finance Minister of Brazil from 1988 to 1990, and the chairman of several bodies, such as the National Monetary Council, or the CMN, and the CONFAZ, after serving for a long period at Banco do Brasil. He has served as the Executive Director of European Brazilian Bank-EUROBRAZ, in London . In addition, Mr. Ferreira has been a member of the board of governors of The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Interamerican Development Bank. He is currently a partner of Tendências Consultoria Integrada, a service rendered company of economic and politic consultancy with corporate headquarters in São Paulo.

Antonio Hermann Dias Menezes de Azevedo
Mr. Hermann was elected a member of the Board of Directors for the first time on April 29, 2011, and is a Managing Director of Aggrego Consultores, a corporate business consulting firm specialized in purchases and sales negotiation, corporate governance and strategic partnerships, and a Founding Partner of Integral Trust, a consultancy specialized in Treasury, Corporate Finance, and Financial Risk Management, among others. He was Vice President at Finasa Leasing and, in 1986, was elected Executive Officer at Bandeirantes Leasing. He held office from 1987 to 1990 as Commercial Vice President at Banco Itamarati, and was in charge of the retail area, being responsible in redefining the sales teams’ strategy and guidance. Subsequently Mr. Hermann was appointed executive Vice President of Banco do Estado de São Paulo - Banespa, by the President of Banco Central do Brasil, where he was responsible for the domestic and international commercial areas, having reorganized the Credit Committee. In 1991 he returned to Banco Itamarati as Chairman. He was Chairman for two terms of office at ABBC - Associação Brasileira de Bancos, Vice President of ABEL - Associação Brasileira de Leasing, a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Officer of FEBRABAN - Federação Brasileira de Bancos, and Treasurer of FELALEASE - Federação Latino Americana de Leasing.

Gustavo Diniz Junqueira
He was the Executive Vice-President responsible for PINE Investimentos. He holds a bachelor´s degree in business administration from FAAP and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Business (USA). He has local and extensive experience abroad in corporate finance, treasury, corporate restructuring and M&A. He has also served domestic and foreign companies of various sectors.

Norberto Zaiet Junior - COO
Holds bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Previously he worked at various financial institutions as Derivatives and Products Director, Latin American Markets Director, Global Emerging Markets Director and Treasury, Global Markets and Fixed Income Director. After working for eight years in New York, he returned to Brazil to serve as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PINE. Nowadays is responsible for the Bank’s business areas.
 
Gabriela Redona Chiste - CRO
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an Executive MBA in Finance from IBMEC-SP (today Insper). She has over 15 years of experience working in credit activities, supervising and analyzing companies of all sizes and in a wide range of industries. With the consolidation of the Bank’s risk structures, she currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
 
Ulisses Marcio Alcantarilla - CAO
Bacharel em Administração de Empresas. Está no PINE desde sua fundação e atua no sistema financeiro há mais de 30 anos na área de Processamento e Controle de Operações.
 
Harumi Susana Ueta Waldeck - CFO
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He joined PINE when it was founded and has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years in the Operations Processing and Control area.
 
Alexandre Eduardo Vásáhrelyi, CFA - Sales & Trading
Has 18 years of experience at various financial institutions working in positions that included Head of Foreign Currency Desk, Portfolio Manager and Head of International Clients Desk. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from the Polytechnic School at the University of São Paulo (USP) and an Executive MBA in Finance from IBMEC-SP (today Insper) and is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) by the Association for Investment Management and Research.
 
Paulo Augusto Luz Ferreira Saba * - Investiments
Has over 13 years of experience in financial markets working in various areas, including Treasury, Hedging Desk and Structured Finance. He received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School at the University of São Paulo (USP) and an MBA in Financial Industry Economics from USP.
 
Rodrigo Esteves Pinheiro - Origination
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University in London. Previously he worked in various financial institutions in the areas of Finance, Foreign Trade and Fund Management.
 
Angela Maria Lellis Martins - Internacional Area
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Instituto de Ensino Superior de Santo André and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia. She has over 20 years of experience in developing international relations and businesses, especially in the areas of Foreign Trade and Capital Markets.
 
Gustavo Marques dos Santos Gierun - Origination
Bachelors in Business Administration from FGV and a post graduate degree in Finance from INSPER. Currently working in Corporate Banking focusing on Infrastructure, Energy, and Sugar and Ethanol.
 
Jefferson Dias Miceli - Legal
Has long experience working in Brazil’s financial industry, including at major law firms. He received a law degree from PUC-SP and a Specialization in Capital Markets Law from the University of São Paulo (USP).

Leo Yamaoka - Origination
Specializes in Origination in agribusiness and other industries. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and a law degree from PUC-SP. With over 20 years of experience in financial markets, previously he worked at various financial institutions as Head of Structuring and Risk Management.

Luiz Eduardo Marinho * - Origination
Specializes in Origination in various industries. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry working at various financial institutions and large corporations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Marco Antonio de Paulo Maciel, Ph.D - Research
The chief economist at PINE, he began his career in the financial industry in October 1997, and since then has worked at multiple-service, wholesale and investment banks. He holds a Ph.D. in economics and finance from the New School for Social Research (New York), a master’s degree in economic theory and mathematical economics from the University of Cornell (New York), a master’s degree in economic theory and industrial economics from the Industrial Economics Institute (IEI) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from UFRJ. He is a professor of business economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics at IBMEC – Rio de Janeiro and a researcher at UFRJ.
 
Orestes Gonçalves Júnior - Project Finance   
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA in Marketing from ESPM. He has extensive experience at various Brazilian and international groups in senior management positions in the Financial Planning, Controllership and Strategic Planning areas, especially in the development of greenfield projects and structured operations.
 
Sérgio Luís Patrício - Hedging Desk 
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from PUC-SP and an MBA from Faculdade Dom Cabral. With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, he has worked at various institutions in the Treasury, Fund Management and Funding areas. 
  
Welinton Gesteira Souza - Controller
Holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a graduate degree in Banking Business Administration from FAAP. He has over 20 years of experience at financial institutions working in the Planning and Control, MIS and Market Risk areas.
